First off, I bought this razor originally so as to remove my beard well enough so I could finish removing it with a straight or a safety razor yo complete the task. However, after watching some videos online how to use, I decided to only trim my beard and leave my face covered with neater, shorter whiskersIf I had to complain about this razor, it would be that the instructions included did not offer any mention as to how the included guards work. I’m serious as to this point as I didn’t find any videos either on how to use the guards. That said after reading 10 reviews here on Amazon, other reviewers covered the guards and how to use most convincing on how to use. Having not reading reviews here first, I decided to use a comb to keep the razor from coming to close to my face which worked well yet after trying the shallowest guard, it’s use got my beard where I wanted it with easeHaving said that, had I known about the guards earlier instead I would have used the tallest guard initially so to have a fuller beardI should explain that although I’m 65 years of age, it wasn’t until I grew this beard out, it’s the first time I ever really sported a fuller, thicker beard, and one I enjoyed wearing as I haven’t had the time to keep my face clean shaven. It’s true, I’m working harder now than I ever have and just don’t have the time to keep a clean shaven faceI should mention at one point before using the one guard, I tried cleaning up my beard free hand (w/o) the comb and actually came too close which left a sort of divot in my beard which necessitated that I had to take off more of my beard in the surrounding areas so it looked more balanced. Again, at the risk of repeating myself, had I known initially how to use the guards, I would have left longer whiskers to achieve a longer, neater beard. Live & learn, and like a bad haircut, it will eventually grow outI found another use for my new peanut razor, manscaping, but only after fitting a guard to this razor. I had an electric razor that was purchased for this task but I never enjoyed using it to manscape yet the peanut razor easily accomplished that task, & with aplomb! All in all I’m quite satisfied with choosing this particular Wahl razor. We’ve owned a cordless Wahl razor in the past to keep our horses chins cleaned up but I have to admit I prefer this corded razor over the cordless type. Always power when you need itI bought this unit because it was recommended by the owner if the salon where I get haircuts. Several of the stylists there swear by these for professional use. I love the build quality, ease of use and reliability. would buy again , but its my understanding they are bomb proof and last forever. The Peanut is easy to hold. Trims hair well with no pulling. Keep it clean and oiled and you will get years of service from this Wahl product.Easy to use. Quality product, like that it's abattery plug in and not battery operatedI like the lil trimmer, its blades are sharp, easy to trim those finer neck hairs. You can shape up a neck line easily. I feel like it is powerful & you better be aiming for the right spot to trim because its to proficient at its job! hahaha, you don't want to make any mistakes trimming! Its a little loud, but it does a great job. The missing 5th star is due to its loudness.Love the size of this. Great for cleaning up private areas. Love itNo battery has an electrical cordI use it all the time for my beard and my hairs. It is soft on the skin, light, and have a precise short cut.
