This may be my new pre-workout snack. I am pretty picky when it comes to different bars. I love them, but they have to taste good. I actually have an uncrustable before my workouts for some added energy since I love peanut butter and jelly. This is about to replace that or be added into my rotation.This reminds me a no-bake cookie at first. It is soft and chewy and moist. You get the initial peanut butter flavoring and then a kick of the strawberry jelly. I love that the jelly is strawberry as well as layered in between the bar so you are getting some in every bite.The bar is not chalky in any way and has not odd aftertaste. It is heavier in calories, but still great for on the go. It also has 8 grams of protein which I absolutely love!I want to try more flavors and have already ordered a whole box since we all love them.My only issue is that I am not sure how many calories it really has. The package, the box, and the website all show something different.I am not fitness freak just yet but I recently wanted to start working on myself again I'm turning 29 soon and didn't want to waste my youth. This bar was suggested and it's plant based so I tried it and to be honest doesn't taste bad at all nothing amazing mostly peanut butter taste very little to no jelly was tasted in this bar. But it's better than a bag of Doritos. It's about mind over matter changing my lifestyle to healthier and this bar does that so I'm not going to complain because it doesn't taste like a Snickers bar. It serves it's purpose. recommend you eat it while Drinking a matcha oat milk combination they compliment each other very well.I really enjoy these peanut butter and jelly bars. I've bought these a few times now and they are always soft and chewy. Which i love. I hate the protein bars that throw on rice and you bite into a hard crispy bar and its rains down crumbs on your lap. To each his own i guess but these Bonk Breakers are excellent. Just wish Amazons packaging was better. Each box i get has had the sides falling apart and bars scattered in the package. Better than the high-protein one, and better than Soylent Food Bars, Stinger waffles, granola, etc.It's convenient, in that it doesn't break up in your pocket. It's easy to take a bite or two, and chew on it while rolling on the bike.It's the right number of calories for if you don't have time for breakfast, and just need something portable.However, you're paying a whole bunch for convenience. For home made, you pay 12.5 cents per ounce, and for BB, you pay 81 to 96 cents per ounce, or more for any of the other flavors. Compare to Larabar, which is 52 cents per ounce, though it's 3/4 of the protein and carbs.Love these! Used to be a Clif Bar aficionado, but quickly made the switch after my first Bonk Breaker bar. I train for Ironman distance events, so nutrition is key - that's why they're the official sponsor of Ironman (and USA Cycling) events. Here's my take:+ dense: they're small, but they're moist and pack in a lot more nutrition/flavor. you can easily get 100+ calories in 3 bites (half a bar). the small size makes lots of them easy to carry in a back pocket too.+ natural: they're organic, non-GMO and only have a few natural ingredients you can pronounce. read the label as they have a short shelf life of just a few months, meaning no preservatives.+ gluten free: no bloating, irritated stomach lining and they fill you up/taste like real food.Only con, is yes, the $3/bar retail price, but find the flavors you like and buy in bulk for ~$2+/bar.I personally love chocolate (and look forward to these on long training days hehe) and my favorites are the PB Choc Chip (taste like Reeses PB cups), Almond Cherry Chunk (high protein), and Espresso Chip when I need a kick of caffeine. I use PBJ (high protein) and fig when I want something subtly sweet, but not chocolate-y, especially on the hotter training days.Enjoy!These are way better than I thought they would be. A clean energy bar. I’ve used these bars on 50-75 mile rides and they’ve done the trick. No bonking. And no heart burn, good taste, easy to eat. I highly recommend.Item came with expiration date in May of 2015, just 3 months away. Was very upset and got a refund from Amazon. I bought them for the upcoming Spring/Summer cycling season. If these are a short shelf-life item due to their natural ingredients that's fine but they need to make that clear in the listing.I ate one or two to try them out before contacting Amazon and they taste decent. The 'jam' is such a slim layer of jam it's virtually nonexistent. I know these aren't made for taste and to represent a true PB&J sandwich and with that in mind they taste alright. Beware of expiration dates, folks. Good item in terms of ingredients and taste for their intended purpose.Great on a long bike rideGreat alternative to sickly gels. I bought them for eating on the bike during triathlons but I end up just eating them all the time. Breakfast, post workout, snack when I'm hungry. I've almost run out already.These are the original bonk breakers peanut butter and jelly. I usually grab the protein version which has more protein and less carbs which is what I prefer. Best of all they are vegan friendly too.I've tried a whole host of bars through the years and this is the the best tasting and also doesn't cause me gut issues.I would give the product 10 stars if I could.Product is very fresh. Texture and taste are great as a result.
