Very sturdy. Bought it for my brother in law and he absolutely loves it. I bought peanuts with no shells (as a part of his gift) as I was told it is easier for the birds to get the food then having to peck at a shell. The seller send it quite fast before the estimated shipping time.The birds are enjoying this beautiful feeder. It is exceedingly well-made and attractive. The best feeder of it's kind we have found.In the first place my husband had to secure the top down so the pesky squirrels couldn't lift it up and rob the peanuts. In the second place the squirrels started to eat the composit material trying to get at the peanuts, so now he has to deal with that issue. Thirdly the other peanut feeders we bought came full of peanuts.. So it goes without saying we will not be buying another peanut feeder from you. Laura Lenz
