The idea is great for flat-faced dogs (Bullies, Frenchies, etc) but check the sizing. I wanted to put this INSIDE my pup's bowl to slow him down, but the edges just didn't sit right, causing food to go underneath the silicone. Otherwise, not bad.I Love this bowl, and so does my dog. I bought this to replace my Outward hound slow feeder bowl and it’s so perfect. The silicone doesn’t cause any acne on his chin and it’s much easier to clean. The soft material also doesn’t bang on my dogs nose or teeth which is definitely a plus. The suction cup is pretty strong, my dog wasn’t able to get it up, but it’s easy to pull off your counter without spilling because of the tab. It’s also the PERFECT size for my corgis food, but would not even come close to fitting all my German shepherds food in it. Either way , I Would definitely recommend this if your dog eats less than two cups, and I’m hoping they come out with some more versions of this, because I’ll definitely buy!For my 2 dogs, I wanted to get something different to put their food in/on to feed them. I have my male dog who likes to act like a vacuum and "hoover" is food down in 20 seconds flat. My female dog just didn't seem to enjoy eating out of her bowl all that much, to the point where she would just refuse to eat, even though she was clearly hungry. I wanted something that would slow him down and give her something else she might be more willing to eat off of. Well, it has been a success. My male dog is still faster at eating his food than hers, but he's had to slow down since he has to lick (btw, one of his favorite things to do) the mat to get it in his mouth, and other than being perplexed by it at first, she hasn't had any issues with eating at all and I can stop worrying about her.I do wish the mats were a little bit bigger, but that doesn't deter from the overall rating.I found that this item was hard to clean and the suction did not work well on my hardwood floors. But the main deal breaker is my 3 labs did not care for them. I used peanut butter.Suction cups work great. I was specifically looking for a mat with different textures and this one did that for me. At first I thought it might be a little small, but they are actually just the perfect size for my 25lb golden-doodle. Very happy so far! They’re also very easy to clean.These are great, a little smaller than I thought so they won’t work for my Boxer, but my dachshund sure loves them!
