My picky Scotty loves these hooves but this one not so much. Before he even got in one chew the filling fell out. So the fun he normally had with them he did not have with this one.As many others have stated here, once the dogs get the filling out, the hooves themselves can splinter into share pieces so I usually scrape out the rest of the filling, and give it to the dogs and toss the hooves due to this.Other than that, this is the best price I have found and my dogs love these!Pros: + They're above average size from what you can find in stores + Dogs love the insides (Cheese & Bacon)Neutral: * They're not particularly cheap, but these are among the cheapest "filled" typesCons: - As with any hoof product, it has a particular 'bacon' odor when dogs chew it - If your dog eats too much of the 'filled' Cheese/Bacon, you'll want to take your dog out more frequently (it is rich for their digestive system)Overall: Recommended. I decided to get a different (un-filled) version for the future, but would likely get these again occasionally to change it up every now and then.I personally can't say that I liked or dislike and I have no use for them, but my dogs LOVE them. Sometimes keeps them occupied for hours. Great at almost 1/2 the price from retailers.Second time I have ordered the Red Barn Hooves , for my two labs. The first box was peanut butter, they loved it. This box is beef, which I didn't order intentionally it is old and pulled away from the hooves around the edges and looks like dried out jello. The first box - the hooves were sturdy and I didn't worry when I gave them to my dogs. This box is falling apart. When the first several bones were opened they fell apart like potato chips leaving small pieces and sharp edges (see the photo). Since I am $64.00 in I am going to see how the rest of them hold up. Really disappointed this time and my dogs just don't care for the dried up beef does not hold their attention as long as the peanut butter flavor. Going to return them, tired another round and the broken pieces of bone were like sharp shards of glass. Afraid it could punctuate their intestines if they swallowed some of the pieces. I think this box just contains to many small and thin hooves.Great value buying the whole box. The dogs love them and they are great to have on hand. They're filled with a beefy gel that keeps them dogs content.Cody is a 7-month-old German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix, and she is a hard chewer. She loves all the flavors of the stuffed hooves, and I have a supply of them on hand. However, I must warn others to watch their dogs and puppies with these as they can break off into very sharp splinters after awhile - take the hoof away as soon as you think the dog is actually getting pieces of it. The light-colored ones seem to break more easily, so just pay attention. Most of the dark ones seem to hold up under aggressive chewing, and I usually am able to refill them several times before the edges give out.My dog loves these! He can get at the cheese easily and chews them up happily (he's a 12lb shih tzu). Unfortunately, they smell AWFUL! It's actually so unbearable that after awhile and I had to throw it out (sorry puppy!)
